Eddie Murray is proud of his 12-year career with the Detroit Lions. He was instrumental in the Lions' run to the 1991 NFC title game against the Washington Redskins and is among the greatest players to ever wear the Honolulu Blue.
Prior to the Lions' come-from-behind, 27-23 season-opening win Sunday over the visiting St. Louis Rams, Murray took some time to talk football with yours truly.
The NFL's 11th-leading career scorer feels that Detroit is on the uptick and can make another playoff appearance this season if everyone stays healthy.
Enjoy the video interview -- and take a little time to remember one of the NFL's greatest kickers.
Thanks goes out to Murray for sharing a few minutes with me outside our suite at Ford Field. He's one of the good ones, folks.
