From House Of Spears
- Mike Flori of Pro Football Talk reported last night the Detroit Lions front office had accidentally sent out a list of the players they are going to bring in for a draft visit to all teams instead of just the league front office. According to Tom Kowalski of MLive, the list isn't the complete one that includes all 30 players as the Lions do not yet know who will be on that list. [Props to Pride Of Detroit for the news]
- Schwartz had made some curious comments earlier in the day according to the Free Press. Of course, it makes a lot of sense with the news that the Lions sent out their visit list to the entire NFL community:
"The fact is, everybody in the league knows (whom we're bringing in)," coach Jim Schwartz said during the NFL meetings last week. "So if everybody in the league knows, it really doesn't matter. And if it's interesting for the fans, ... then I'm all for it."
- Personally, I don't see this as an issue at all. Is it a blunder on the Lions part? Absolutely, but its definitely not a move that gives any other front office an edge come draft day. The Lions post the news of draft prospect visits on their website anyways, so this really doesn't bother me all that much.
- Jim Schwartz also commented on how Ndamukong Suh will stay at the defensive tackle position (duh?)
- Former Detroit Lions head coach Wayne Fontes made the list of Ten Most Hated Opponents of the Chicago Bears
